Do I need restaurant experience to own a CANZ-a-citi?

In order to help ensure a consistent guest experience within each CANZ-a-citi restaurant, we do require that the day-to-day operator within each franchise have prior restaurant ownership or management experience, and be an equity partner in the franchisee company.

What is the investment required to open a CANZ-a-citi restaurant?

The estimated required investment for a start-up franchise ranges from $700,000 to $1,500,000, including a franchise fee of $35,000. As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business.

Will I receive any territorial protection?

Franchisees will receive a protected area of approximately 30,000 persons surrounding their restaurant location.

What ongoing fees are paid to the franchisor?

Ongoing fees that you would pay as a franchisee allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of recipes/products, procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. Each franchisee will pay an ongoing royalty equal to 5% of gross sales.

Are there any advertising fees?

Franchisees will be required to contribute up to 2% of gross sales into a systemwide marketing fund. The fund is used to develop creative materials and strategies that will help build the CANZ-a-citi brand.

Is financing available?

No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.

What is the term of the franchise agreement?

The initial term of your franchise agreement is ten years, with two subsequent five-year successor terms.

For starters, each Canz-a-Citi location features an incomparable variety of over 120 CANNED domestic and imported beers served by our friendly and attractive staff sporting jean shorts and construction boots, all in a vintage, southern-inspired Texas roadhouse setting. With decor from every brand of beer we serve draped on the walls in between our huge flat screen TV's, Canz-a-Citi is not only a true work of art, but also the ultimate destination to catch the big game while enjoying a delicious item off our menu which is prepared in-house and to order.
